Just got back from the 1st "SilverGinger5" tour of Japan and I`m jetlagged as fuck. ARIGATO(!) to all you fans that made our stay a true mess! (That`s a compliment!) SG5 is a beast created out of chaos, a "Godzilla on acid" if you like, and it`s gonna eat the world with mustard. Ginger & I, have got that perfect yin/yang what musta made Jagger/Richards,Tyler/Perry etc, such driving forces. Surprisingly, a lot of people had my solo album even though it`s only out on import so far. ( Record company! Hello!!?? ) Tom Broman (ex, Electric Boys/ Send No Flowers) on drums, learnt all the songs in 3(!) days and "Random" Jon Poole (Cardiacs & bassplayer on the album) is a great performer/ entertainer. That together with guitar-tech Nitebob and tour manager Johnnie Allen (who`s worked with Keef Richards, Iggy & the Stooges, Kiss, Guns & Roses...you name it.) We could not fail. Did I hear a name drop? Bless you guys! Wondering if you will ever find fans that commited somewhere else, apart from Japan? I don`t think so. More news coming up soon about London show etc. Right now, I needo some sleepo! Sayonara.    2000-09-18 Conny has joined ex-Wildhearts/ Quireboys guitarist Ginger, to form SilverGinger 5 in London. They´ve signed to Sanctuary Music Management (responsible for turning Iron Maiden into the monster it is ). When asked about the band , Conny said: -" It`s gonna rock like a motherfucker. Something Ginger heard as " WALK like a motherfucker". Now one of their heaviest tracks. (Maybe playing loud isn`t such a bad thing after all :-)) Conny describes the sound as "2000 stadium rock with great choruses and B-I-G guitar riffs".Rehearsals start tomorrow in London.He`s gone back to his battered trademark Fender guitar (after playing Gibsons & Epiphones on solo tour) for the Japan dates in October.
